Frantic Farang Fuels Chaos in the Coworking Space
Digital Freelancer’s PCP “Microdosing” Experiment Causes Carnage at Bangkok Mall
KIP DUNGWORTH, STAFF REPORTER
BANGKOK, THAILAND — A self-described “digital freelancer” reportedly turned a quiet Thursday afternoon into a roaming, fluorescent-lit cautionary tale after attempting what he called “PCP microdosing” and then taking the BTS to a Bangkok shopping mall “to test productivity under pressure.”
It went about as well as you’d expect for a man who thinks dissociatives are a wellness practice.
Witnesses said the foreign man — identified by mall security as 34-year-old Bradley Whitaker — arrived at the mall’s co-working cafe carrying a laptop, a reusable water bottle, and the calm conviction of someone who has never been told “no” by a barista.

“He kept saying he was only on a microdose, which is a strange thing to keep repeating while trying to negotiate with a mannequin,” said Pimchanok Srisawang, 29, a retail worker who watched the incident unfold from behind a locked cash drawer.
Mall officials said several storefronts reported minor damage, including toppled product stands and one shattered promotional lightbox. No serious injuries were reported, though one shaken shopper was treated for what medics described as “acute secondhand embarrassment.”
Police were called after Whitaker allegedly attempted to “audit” a children’s play zone for “inefficiencies” and demanded a meeting with “whoever runs capitalism.” Officers later escorted him to a nearby station for assessment and questioning.
Sources close to the bar tab — and to the mall’s security office — said Whitaker had been attending weekly “biohacking” meetups and recently posted online about “finding balance” through substances he could not spell.
A spokesperson for the mall urged visitors to “remain calm” and reminded the public that the premises are “a family environment,” not a laboratory for expatriate self-experimentation.
